From Glasgow, follow the M8 for Greenock, then the A8 for Gourock. Take the A770 for Western Ferries, 2 miles beyond Gourock. This is where your holiday begins! Enjoy the 20 minute ferry trip and the fabulous scenery to arrive at Hunters Quay and Cowal. Once off the ferry, turn right onto the A815 for 2 miles. Turn right at a T-junction for the A815; after 3 miles turn right for the A880 taking you to Kilmun, Strone and Blairmore (5 miles). A 1/4 mile past Gairletter Caravan Park watch out for the signpost for Stronchullin Holiday Cottages on the left.
Alternative directions. From Glasgow, follow the M8 for Greenock. Take junction 30 for the Erskine Bridge and then the M898. Take the A82 for Crianlarich. At Tarbet, follow the A83, signposted for Campbeltown and turn left for the A815 for Dunoon. Turn left for A880 Ardentinny at Whistlefield and watch for the signpost for Stronchullin Holiday Cottages on right.(2 miles)
